This can be difficult to remove, a pain to use if applied too thickly, overall, not the most enjoyable product. But the shine is quite amazing. It is recommended that this is allowed to cure 8-12 hrs before wetting or before another application. Strange thing, I managed to get decent water beading, slick finish and as far as I'm concerned, it gave the thick almost trademark Klasse look..

If you use to much it’s hard to remove. I found a tiny amount goes a long way. For the size that was tested should have only needed one drop of the glaze. 👍 that should help ease of removal. I love this product. I use the All in One then follow up with Glaze. I Used it on my 09 Black Honda Accord, and paint was perfect when sold. 👍

Been using it since the early 90's, I first found about it through a catalog. Klasse is very easy to apply, their all-in-one is great, and that alone will shine for a long time. The sealant looks amazing, and increases the protection and shine. Best kept secret in a field that is innundated with gimmicks and such.

Hi Brian, thanks for reviewing this product that started me on my detailing journey almost twenty years ago! I've been an avid fan of Klasse AIO since I learned about it on a detailing forum back in 2000. I've had great results on Hondas, Fords, and Chevys from black to silver to emerald green. I've been less enthusiastic about the sealant, as it has proven to me to be extremely finicky in its application and removal regimen. Just a small amount never seems to be actually covering anything, but a larger amount, applied with any force, necessitates the use of QD sprays to release the stranglehold of the sealant, then it seems to smear. I wonder if you could do a quick test of the Klasse "twins" together in their application order? I am a recent fan of the Optimum Optiseal and Hyperseal, but still have a special fondness for the AIO!

I use their AIO and love it. White pad & DA, then top with a good sealant (BlackFire). Kicks butt. Good for cars that sit outside as AIO is a great cleaner.

While I don't use Klasse AIO and SG anymore, if I were asked what products made a car absolutely stunning, I get specific and say proper paint prep (was/ clay/machne polish) Klasse AIO followed by 3 to 5 coats of SG. A single coat is very nice but it doesn't stand out. Three to 5 coats and they become drop dead gorgeous. Anything after 5 coats yield diminishing amounts of improvement, plus you'll need to wipe the slate clean by that time and do a full detail again. Topping it with a carnauba like Souveran (or another sealant or topper)will yield more depth but I ended up regretting changing the look because I felt like it was a step down in overall appearance. I was a committed devotee when I had a 10th Anniversary Miata in sapphire blue metallic that always looked like wet nail polish or a super polished wet stone. I eventually topped it with 2 coats of Collinite 476s which lasted 2 years (was still beading strongly) on a daily driver parked in the sun because a newer car went into the garage. I've moved on to Turtle Wax HS Ceramic Spray Coating because it is much less effort to get superlative results.

I've been using Klasse for over 20 years, it's an awesome product. Few tips if to help you out if you ever use Klasse again. Klasse is tricky to use for those not familiar, the longer you let Klasse SG sit before you buff it, the more it will cross-link and bond, this helps durability, it also becomes easier to remove believe it or not. Apply it so thin it flashers pretty much clear. A bit of detail spray on the MF towel aids in removal as well. I have also found full gloss and depth isn't achieved until a few hours to one day after application. Applying AIO first also helps the SG bond and seems to improve depth. Klasse SG is old school and it not nearly as easy to work with as the newer products, but IMHO when it comes to look, I still haven't found anything that will give the depth and glass like look of look the Klasse twins. But for ease of use and in some cases durability newer products have it beat, specifically the good pro ceramics. Really love you're channel!! You've reviewed some of the newer stuff that seems to really work, specifically when time is a factor. I got out of the game in 04, so a lot has changed in that amount of time, but some of the old stuff is still going strong. A product to give a shot would be Zaino awesome stuff, totally optically clear, and can be layered indefinitely, gives a candy coated look, it was really popular a few years back.

Quick question, are acrylic based sealants the best in terms of “filling” properties? I unfortunately struggle to find the time to perform a paint correction with a DA polisher and therefore am looking for a shortcut (admittedly an imperfect one). By the way, I am nothing more than a weekend warrior Thanks!

The Klasse twins (AIO+ SG) when applied to clean paint sets like concrete. True story, I took my car in to a body shop to have some deep scratches repaired on my hood and the body shop guys were trying to figure out what sealant I applied to the paint because it was a pain in the rear end to remove.

100% true, use too much and let it dry and it's a huge pain in the ass to remove. Wipe on with damp cloth, and polish off nearly immediately. I've been using Klasse since 1994. Once a year is all it needs.

I have been using Klasse AIO and Sealant for 17 years. I began shortly after buy my brand new 2002 F 150. I used to detail, and apply the Klasse every fall, and every spring. Now I am 67 years old, and I have gotten to where I only apply it once per year. (It seems my elbow grease if running lower than it was 17 years ago. ) The Klasse is still providing protection after a year. I still have people go into shock when they find out how old my pickup is. I have a ding on the bumper and minor scratches in a few places, but overall it looks virtually new. I am considering buying a DA Porter Cable polisher to help bring the shine up a notch. I know Klasse looks great with hand polishing, but does anyone have any experience using a DA polisher on it? My body hasn't held up as well as my truck, but I won't stop keeping it looking good as long as I can do the work. It makes me sad to see how many people refuse to apply protection to their paint.

Just use a detailing spray on a pad and when you remove the glaze. I have tried many sealants and love the Klasse combo the best. When I bought my car new four years ago, I immediately used the AIO and put a few layers of the Glaze. I do not wash my car often (once a year at most) but when I do, I add a couple more layers. This thing lasts a long time and occasional heavy rains remove most of stuff from the surface and that is enough for me. I just washed my car first time since June last year. Granted it needs some claying and other decontaminations but the paint still looks great.

Have sworn by Klasse AIO and Sealant. Long before I got older and busier, I did my car by hand. My annual ritual was some off the Walmart shelf 3M rubbing compound, then the AIO, then glaze. Talk about a workout. That said, the results were stunning. I have hard water so the Klasse was perfect. But, I digress. Working that hard after a few years began to take it's toll and the enjoyment waned. What was something I loved to do began becoming a task. Had to move on.

Great stuff. Don’t use to much or it’s hard to get off. Really quality stuff. Put it on with microfiber also. By the way you are using waaaaaaaay to much. If you used the proper amount it would wipe right off. Multiple layers are really not needed if you do one correctly. If you do do a second make sure you wait a day or so. Let it cure before you test. It’s really not supposed to get wet for a bit.

Another awesome review!!!Here’s how I use Klasse Sealant without any streaking and my paint really POPS. I've been using the Klasse twins since 2005 and don't apply it and leave it on for 30 minutes, I apply it to a section or panel and then remove right away, its the way I was told to use it back in the day. In my years of using it the 2nd coat 12 hrs later really makes the paint POP! Because its so easy to use I could see where someone might wanna apply it once a week and even I think that's too much but what you could do is make up a gallon of QD using your favorite rinseless wash and add 2 oz of KSG to the mix, shake before using and you'd be applying a very thin layer of protection while cleaning the car too. What I do to apply KSG is take a bowl of water, dump my square, mf applicator in there, wring out and spray 2 sprays onto the applicator and then work it into the section or panel and then remove. After every panel I dunk the applicator back into the bowl, wring out and squirt some more KSG onto the pad and keep moving along. Klasse quik detailer Spray TO WIT: -For a "Quick Detailer Spray": 1:6 ratio of KHGSG:UQD (approx. 1/2oz KSG:8oz. UQD) -For a "Detail Spray Wax": 1:4 ratio of KHGSG:UQW (2oz KSG:8 oz. UQW) KHGSG=Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze UQD=Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Detailer UQW=Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax

Apex Detail i wanted to thank you i got the d300 as your recomendation, and im pretty happy with the results so far on my test spots. I tried it with a purple foamed wool polishing pad and it removed 95% of the very light wash induced scratches from either improper washing by last owner or my wifes love of carwashes. It didnt dull my paint and brought some shine back to a test spot on my front bumper. As a test I followed it up with chemical guys wet mirror finish which i didnt notice any difference in the cloudy skys and butter wet wax. In september l will finish with power lock and either use butter wet wax since i already have it or try the colonite 845 on top. No heres for my question.... would it be safe to do 4 passes with orange pad then finish it off with 4 passes with the polishing pad or would it be safer long term to deal with the 5% left over deeper scratches that are only visible in if your looking(or my slight ocd)and settle so i can pollish again in one or 2 yrs if needed

Brian, could you help me understand something? When the alkaline cleaner was on top of the sealant, the water didn't sheet. After you sprayed the ip solution, it seamed to have removed the cleaner and started sheeting again. Does that mean that the sealant was being masked by the cleaner, and therefore not sheeting? I seem to have this same situation with my sealant of choice, after washing. Do you think that could mean that there is too much soap residue on top of the sealant, therefore masking the sealants' performance? The panel becomes so hydrophilic, that it makes it harder to dry, causing me to use some sort of drying aid that I feel I wasn't ready to use in the first place. This situation has had me stumped for a while now, any input would be much apreciated.

Before I learned about coatings I used Klasse. It was the most durable product out there a decade ago. Even spring I started with the All in One followed by the High Gloss Sealant. I put build up the layers all spring and summer long leading to another Ohio winter. Thank goodness for coatings. It's the only product that can survive on a daily driver through not just one but multiple Ohio winters. With Klasse the bottom panels would be void of protection half way through winter. Klasse is a dinosaur from prehistoric history. Today the wipe on wipe off products out perform Klasse with less effort to apply and better hydrophobic properties. For the long haul, coatings are the way to go in every single aspect of protection.

Agree, there was a time when KSG was one of the most durable products around. I even went through a period where I layered the product daily, on a separate panel, just to see the result that was described on the forums as something truly special. Today, a hit of Reload allows for more gloss, more slickness, more pop, more of everything. To me, KSG's worst property was the ghosting. Do a car, a few days go by, and light occasional traces of hazed sealant begin appearing on the paint. Granted, I am discounting a bit for user error; it was about 15 years ago before I got pretty good at this. Still....

Great work B ❤️. I’ve always loved the Klasse Twins. Using the AIO, then it’s brother the glaze. I always found a Spritz the applicator pad first, then applying it “whisper thin”. Leave it 30 mins for before wipe off. I found I’d leave it 10-15 it would be a bear. Another cool tip ;) To make your own special Klasse Detailing Spray, add one tablespoon of the Sealant Glaze for every 8 oz. of Meguiar’s Quik Detailer. Shake well for 30 seconds. Use as you would any other detailing spray. To make your Klasse Spray Wax, add 1/4 cup of Klasse Sealant Glaze for every 8 oz. of Meguiar’s Quik Detailer. Good way to extend its life.

@FLEXIN RIFFS I wouldn't say it stays cleaner, all though my wife's car is a dark blue and shows up dust etc easily, but it does clean off easier. Even though my wife's car shows dirt and dust more than normal you can still see the amazing gloss underneath. It's very easy to maintain. My car, BMW 328i F30, is silver and normally silver is hard to "gloss up" but I have Fusso down as the base and two coats of Collinite 845 on top, she's like a silver morror. Word of advice with Fusso Coat, you still need to decontaminate and correct/prep your paint before applying it. Maybe not to the degree of cquartz, but I have found proper prep really makes it last. I applied it to my son's car with no real prep other than a wash and it barely lasted 6 months.

  • FLEXIN RIFFS

    FLEXIN RIFFS

Ken Lawton thanks for the info. I was looking at the cquartz U.K. But it seems fusso is a bit easier, and I don't have a garage to keep the car in during a long cure time. and frankly I really like rubbing a paste wax on haha. if it lasts 6month-year that's plenty for me on my personal vehicle. Do you find the coating washes up any easier/stays cleaner than the fusso car?

  • Ken Lawton

    Ken Lawton

    2 jaar geleden

@FLEXIN RIFFS I have applied cquartz to my wife's new car 12 months ago, there is no substitute, cquartz is amazing , however, as far as a traditional sealant goes Fusso is the next best thing for sure. If you look after it, top it with a carnouba or spray wax periodically it will last ages.
